Heather honey from Erica manipuliflora is among the rarest and most distinctive honeys in Greece. The Erica plant blooms for only a short time in late summer and provides one of the final nectar sources of the year. It produces a honey with an intense aroma, spicy depth, and an unmistakable, slightly tart note.

It has been prized since antiquity: heather was dedicated to the goddess Artemis and served as a symbol of wilderness and strength. Its flavor profile is warm, spicy, complex, and earthy, with a powerful, lingering finish.

Its rapid, fine-grained crystallization creates a creamy, spreadable consistency that melts on the palate. A honey for connoisseurs who love deep, earthy, and characterful flavors—not floral, but connected to nature and full of strength.
