Heather honey from Erica manipuliflora is among the rarest and most distinctive honeys in Greece. The Erica plant blooms for only a short time in late summer, providing one of the last nectar sources of the year. The resulting honey boasts an intense aroma, a spicy depth, and a unique, slightly bitter note.

It has been prized since antiquity: heather was sacred to the goddess Artemis – a symbol of wilderness, strength, and regeneration. This primal energy is also reflected in the honey: warm, spicy, complex, and earthy, with a powerful, lingering finish.

A Greek study (Tsagarakis et al., 2010) showed that heather honey has one of the highest antioxidant values ​​of all Greek honeys. Its high phenolic acid content makes it a remarkably potent natural product.

Its rapid, fine-grained crystallization creates a creamy, spreadable consistency that melts on the palate. A honey for connoisseurs who appreciate depth, earthiness, and character – not floral, but deeply rooted in nature and full of energy.
